Description
A lone Thousand Sons biker scouting the field, looking for... something...Just a quick photo manipulation I did for the hell of it. Mostly because that sort of environment is pretty much what I'm referencing for the basing of my pre-Heresy Sons models, heh.

Hehe, not originally! Before the Horus Heresy, the Thousand Sons were red with white or gold trim, and their badge was an eclipsed sun. It was only sometime after the Heresy that Magnus went "Hey, repaint your armour to blue and gold, kthx." Not sure when they changed their badge to the serpent eating its tail, but I'd guess that happened about the same time.

your welcome. Do you use Photoshop? What do you do?

Yup, I use Photoshop. As for what I do... well, for this one, I got one of the photos of my bike miniature, erased the background, then put it on a new layer over the background photo and scaled it down to the size I wanted. Adjusted the colour balance of the background and the bike so they'd match better, and carefully erased the bike's base so only the tyre tracks remained. Used a new layer to paint in the exhaust smoke, snow sprays and the extra tyre tracks behind the bike, then merged all the layers once I was happy with everything and desaturated the whole thing slightly so it wasn't so brightly coloured.
