Description The manticore. For some reason people have taken to showing them with bat wings, despite the fact that not a single bestiary or adventurous traveller ever described them as winged. Regardless, I've used a combination of Apollonios (who thought they were imaginary) and Ctesias (who didn't.) They were originally a Persian myth, hence the setting.

I like the fur, all the detail is very realistic! The face is mesmerizing!

What was the deal with those bat wings?
They made the manticore look so lame.
I played a game called Age of Mythology and I think the manticores in the game had bat wings too o___o

I suspect it's a case of 'wings are cool, so put them on everything!!!'

*Sigh*
