Ahaha, not one of my best but here goes... This is a recent one I did in 2 hours for my writing class. I had to do a speech on my "creative project" which consisted of drawing or creating something that had been inspired by one of the pieces of literature we read. I chose to do mine on The Yellow Wallpaper by: Charlotte Perkins Gilman. If you haven't read this short story, you must it is very good.

Anyway for those who haven't read it, it is a story about a woman suffering from postpartum depression and is brought by her husband to an estate in the country. Their room is covered in a horrendous yellow wallpaper which the unstable woman becomes obsessed with and later starts to hallucinate that there are women "creeping" behind the wallpaper.

I won't give away the whole story but my art was based on it. Sadly my teacher didn't really like it because she felt that it was too cute for the creepy images described in the story, and I agree. It was way more creepy in the sketch I did, and before I turned it in I realized that the right character looks very happy considering her situation. She was supposed to look insane... sigh. I'll probably move this to scraps later...
