I love this car and ofcourse all the energy (and t:me) you've put in it!
Even the reflections on the tiles look as realistic as thinkable (..)
The organic shape of the car matches perfect with the straight lines of an architectural environment.
That makes the balance, I think.

Didn't realize it was a picture, fantastic job!
Is this based off a real car, or your own idea? Love vintage looking cars

It is indeed based upon a real automobile, one called the 'Tucker Torpedo'. Only about 100 were made before Mr. Tucker was pushed out of the car business. Some say the ideas incorporated into his vehicle were so far ahead of their time, that Ford, GM, and Chrysler would have spent huge amounts of money and time to attempt to catch up to him. The features he put in:
1.Fuel injection
2. Engine over the rear drive wheels. Made for tremendous traction on the road.
3. The engines were taken from a model of helicopter, and therefore could provide lots of power over a long period of time while being very reliable.
4. Doors inspired by aircraft doors that wrapped into the roofline. Made for great aerodynamics as well as looks.(look at cars today...almost all have these)
5. 4-wheel disc brakes.
6. Safety windshield that would pop out in the event of an accident to keep folks from smashing through it.
7. Padded dashboard. (again, all vehicles today have these)
8. Seat belts. American cars wouldn't have these as standard until the 1960's.
9. The center headlight would turn from one side to the other as you turned the wheel, thus allowing you to see into the blind spot in a curve ahead of you at night.
Sadly, Mr. Tucker was a far better engineer and designer than he was a businessman, which is why our cars today don't look like these!

EDIT: woops, only 51 of his cars were made, and not 100.

Ah, thank you for such a detailed response!
No wonder I haven't seen one before, being so rare. Beautiful machines though, maybe someday I'll be able to see one in person! Shame that cars today almost never have that same beauty and class as the older cars.

Ida Automotive created the New Tucker '48 line in 2001. So it's possible to buy a modernized replica.

The fact that there's even a slight grain texture in the lighting over the windshield makes this picture that much more DD-worthy. And professional-gallery-worthy. Keep up the amazing work.
