EDIT: Wow. Not quite sure how I screwed this up, but when I originally put this piece up I completely forgot I had made a panel for Movie 9. xD;; This new updated version includes the missing panel.Inspired by our most recent Detective Conan World podcast . Somehow we got into a conversation about how whenever Conan needs to do a skill in the movies he hasn't previously shown the staff explains Conan learned the skill when he was Shinichi and with his dad in Hawaii and I came up with this little joke...
Yes, I realize Conan has been shown snowboarding before in canon, and yes, Ran is OOC but that's part of the joke.

It is possible to learn to ski/snowboard in Hawaii, just not recommended as the only place that gets snow is super high up (lack of oxygen), and there are no lifts or anything.

I loled at this so hard. Cause you have to wonder why they don't question how he knows all this. Even after all the hardcore stuff is said and done. XD Are they that oblivious? Wish they'd show more of him on his violin though. :3 Would love to hear him play it again. Only time they ever really showed him playing on it was during the movie with the Opera House, can't remember the name or number at the moment and too lazy to look it up. D: Epic fail~

Actually, movie 2, he says he learned how to fly a helicopter through a simulation at the Flight Museum. Still doesn't make too much sense but at least they set it up rather than saying at the end that he learned it in Hawaii. Although I can see a dad taking his son to a firing range, especially considering the boy's chosen profession. It makes for good bonding between father and son. In fact I can actually see Yusaku teaching Shinichi many of those things so I guess the deus ex machina isn't too bad.
