Description
Made using Adobe Photoshop CS, but earlier versions (at least from 5.0 up) should be able to follow along.Decided I didn't like my other colouring tutorial, so here's a new and improved one. ^_^ To view the tutorial, right click the "Download Deviation" button and do "Save Target As". You'll need a program like Winzip to see the tutorial. (All of the pictures for the tutorial are in a zip file.)
The zip file is 1.96 MB and contains 28 pictures.

You should try using WinRar. You can extract from zip files no problem and it's totally free. :3

I have forwarded this tutorial link to =disneydeviants in order to put it in the Tutorial Journal there. It was recommended to *boribaby by another deviator so when reading through the comments I linked to it and downloaded it to my own desktop. It would be a help to others if it is okay with you to share it. Thank you, in advance, for your wonderful work ~ Parks Gal

Sure! Thank you! :3 Hopefully it'll help people out. I think I need to make another one sometime that further explains, but oh well.

o i found it =]but now i have a new problem, i got to about step 7 where u start coloring with the lasso u no? and it started working out just fine by after a couple minutes when i kept going and tried to fill a section it would color it, it did more like a luminosity type color, like if i was working with black it showed a dark circle of black and faded around the edges. any idea what i did?

Hmm...I'm not quite sure what's going on. I guess try reading through the steps again. I can't exactly tell what the problem is from that description.

I'm sorry. My tip for shading: Find where your light source is coming from. To see examples of light sources on objects in real life, just look around at various objects to see how light from various directions affects their colours. Best example to use is a ball. You can probably receive excellent tutorials on actual shading on DA or simply search for tutorials using google.
Sorry I didn't go into detail on how to shade, but the point of my tutorial was to simply teach how to colour on Photoshop.
