I opened the door to let my boyfriend in. Kale smiled as he entered and hugged me.
"Hey, babe." He said. I smiled and we went into my living room/kitchen and he sat down on the couch as I went and grabbed some chips. He began feeling around in his pockets for some reason, and while I pulled out chips from the bag, he pulled out random pieces of paper and other crap like that.
"I don't remember putting this in here." I looked over at him as he played around with a stick of something.
"Cigarette?" I asked.

"Of course not! No, I think this is gum." he unwrapped it and looked at it.

"You sure you want to try it? Who knows how old it is." I said. He shrugged and kept messing with it. I sighed as he finally put it in his mouth and chewed.

"Hey, it's pretty good!" he said. "I swear, I have never had orange-flavored gum before!" I rolled my eyes and kept fishing around in the chip bag while he chewed. I looked back at him as he lay with his arms spread against the back of the couch, head tilted back to the ceiling.

"Want to watch some TV?" I asked. He opened his mouth to say something, tried to speak but began coughing and finally gulped.

"Ow. I swallowed the gum." He said. "Sure, TV would be great." I nodded and turned it on. I glanced over at him, back at the TV, then looked straight at him.

"What?" He asked. He had a weird orange tinge to his skin, like he did a crappy self-tanning job.

"You're orange." I said. He snorted and waved me away, then stopped and looked at his hand. He was turning a bright orange color, even his hair was changing from blond to a dull orange. He just stared at me and I stared back for a minute.

He then doubled over, groaning.

"Kale?" I asked. He moaned and looked up at me, then down to his middle. If I hadn't been staring, I would have missed the fact that it was starting to protrude. He held his middle and his jaw fell, and I must have looked the same as his stomach began to grow. It swelled up slowly, but it soon looked like he had swallowed a ball, and the ball was being pumped up.

And it wasn't just his stomach. His arms were looking thicker, and so were his legs. He began looking around, wiggling and pressing down on his stomach to try and stop it from swelling.

"Janet..." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"Help..."

"How am I supposed to do that?" I asked, my voice going shrill. He stood up and I saw that his butt was swelling too. I glanced over and noticed the curtains were open.
I jumped off the couch and closed them, then turned back to Kale. He resembled a mildly obese man now, and his legs were sliding farther and farther apart due to his swelling thighs. His arms were as thick as poles, and even his face was swelling up.
He waddled in a semi-circle to face me, and I could do nothing but stare back at him. He began swelling faster, his middle forcing his thick arms up and his legs were too fat for him to move. His shirt was stretched to the max, and rips were showing in his jeans.

With a loud BANG! his shirt tore open and fell off, and his legs burst through his pants a few moments later. He seemed to flush a deep orange when this happened, but then he gasped as his middle began to swallow his limbs. I watched as his arms were sucked into his sides, and his legs disappeared into his belly.

With a loud thud he fell forward onto the floor, his belly pulling him down, and his feet no longer able to keep him up. His back swelled out to compensate, and soon he was nothing more than an orange ball. I ran over to him and righted him, and he looked back at me confused and scared.

"How am I going to fix this?" I murmured.
