Description
ATTENTIONthis auctions is NO LONGER RUNNING!
Sky High Stables is hosting its second adoption!
These horses are very special to us; we rescued them from the auction as young horses, and worked with each of them for two years, giving them a solid base under saddle and on the ground with people and other animals.
Each horse is now 3 - 6 years old. You can decide what age the horse is in your application.
You do not have to be a member of HARPG to win. you can be, but you don't have to be. these adoptables are open to everyone!
These lines are drawn by me, for my use in this adoption. if you would like to use these lines to color on your own, please see because that is my main account - I will upload the lines there for public use - thanks
THESE ARE NOT FOR POINTS. So, you must do a drawing application which means you need to draw the horse at your stable (in the paddock, in the ring, wherever). You may try for more than one horse, but each horse needs it's own application. you can't have two adoptables in one picture. you can, however, have an adoptable interacting with one of your horses.
please read the rules below:
1. Comment here or send me a note with you application.
2. Include a drawing of the horse. You must draw the side shown above, but drawing both sides of the horse doesn't hurt.
3. Include this information with your application:
Name: you decide
Gender: you decide
Breed: you decide
Age: you decide
Height: you decide
Color:
Discipline: you decide
Personality: (be creative - helps your chances of winning!)
These horses are NOT first come, first serve. I will judge all entries after the deadline, and post the results ASAP. I will send you a comment letting you know whether you won or not
All entries must be received by January 30! That's two weeks from now!
**results will be up by February 2nd
So, have fun, and GO DRAW ME SOME HORSIES!
**if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me!

it;s okay - you don't sounds dumb
do you mean how do you send me a link to your picture? or how do you upload a picture to DA?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SkyHighStables In reply to naomithewolf [2011-01-27 16:04:54 +0000 UTC]
oh - it's pretty simple hopefully I can make it easy to understand
Make sure your picture is in .jpg format, first of all. I'm pretty sure this is the only formart DA accepts. then, at the top of the website, there is a dark green bar that has your username, messages, and a drop down that says "submit". hover over that drop down menu with your mouse, and click the first thing on the drop down menu called "submit art" then, you will come to a screen where you have to name your deviation - you have to do that or it won't let you submit it. Below that, there is a big white box with "which file?" next to it, and a bright green button under it which says "upload file...". click on that bright green button, and find the picture on your computer to upload it.
after that, fill out the rest of the page and you should be good

Thanks so much, normally no credit means that the lines are your own, however, there have been several cases of line art theft in auctions and I'm sending out reminders. I just need conformation that you used your own lines. Sorry for the inconvenience

Name: Dark Light
Barn Name: Zac
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Spanish Mustang
Age: 7yold
Height: 15.4hh
Color: Bay w/minimal Sabino
Discipline: Show Jumping.
Personality: Sweet tempered, this is the ideal stallion for all-round riding. Anyone would think he was a gelding he is so sound. He was rounded upwith a whole bunch of other spanish mustangs and classed. The unfortunate ones who got the lowest class were sent to dealers and doggers. The horses in the middle classes got sent to local stables to be trainedand sold off again, or sold to private buyers. The horses in the highest classes got shipped around the world. Zac was one lucky colt, getting sent to China to be trained and compete in show jumping. Till he was 4 he was used as a school horse for junior riders who needed a challenge in riding. Now, Zac is a champion in the show ring, winning many supremes and championships.
