This is one of the assignments we had to do for class- the theme was 'fantastic headgear', so I tried to design something that really felt like it belonged in a 1990's fantasy novel. I'm actually really attached to the style we ended up using ( acrylic wash/base + coloured pencil in alternating layers, with some hints of metallic ofc ), but it definitely takes a while and I haven't had the chance to try it again since ;v;It's a shame it isn't still the 90's tho cause man I totally coulda tried for MTG card art with this style if it were.
