DISCLAIMER: This submission was originally created as part of my final requirements for one of my courses in college."Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" - Joshua 1:9
Hello again, everyone! This is Crimson speaking, and I have a few things I need to make clear before I continue. First, dropping a Bible verse is not something I do normally, hence the disclaimer. Second, I'm not what one would call the most devout of Christians, given I haven't gone to church or even read the Bible of my own volition for the longest time already. Third, similarly with one's opinions on most things, I try not to give other people crap for having beliefs that I or anyone else don't have. We're all human beings with the ability to think for ourselves, so I'm not gonna stop others from doing so, especially when it comes to these things. After all, I still have my own beliefs, religious and non-religious alike.
Anyway, with all that out of the way, I can get to what I'm trying to get across with this piece here. I mentioned in my previous submission that it's always okay to reach out to the people in your life for support, especially when we're living in times like these. For one who wholeheartedly believes in God, this is where most would make the connection between that statement and the Bible verse. For myself, who's had several doubts about the Lord over the years, it's a little more complicated than that.
Even with the recent revelations I've had, I still find it hard to find my faith in God at times, but I know that He's making Himself known to me somehow. I've decided that He's been doing it through my friends and loved ones - the people I've placed my trust in. It would make perfect sense too, as far as I'm concerned, seeing that we human beings are supposed to be made in God's image, or something along those lines. They've been my source of strength in the many times I've had none left to muster.
With my story out of the way, I have something to say to whoever happens to see this. If ever you find yourself within an encroaching darkness at any point in your life, know that there's always a radiant light somewhere - one can't exist without the other, as some would say. When you reach out to that light as far as you can, someone - whether it be a random stranger with a heart of gold, a close friend whom you know has your back, a family member you wholeheartedly trust, your significant other, or maybe even whoever your call your God - will reach out to you in kind.
As long as that light still gives off even the faintest glimmer, then hope has not died and, as my groupmates in our webinar once said, you are not alone.
That's all from me today. This is Crimson, signing off. Take care, everyone.
