My half of a trade with Kye. Her half was so beautiful ;_; I tried my hand at a background- not realistic in any way. I actually got it from a video game. If you can identify it (I already know you know it, lindsey) you shall become my new lover.

Aaaah, I had planned on coloring the outline on Tar. Somewhere in the coloring process, I screwed up the layers. Maybe because it's the first time I've ever done a multilayer background. So... I wasn't able to color the lineart. He doesn't mold into the background the way I would have liked, but... live and learn.

I also abandoned my shading process. I'm not really pleased with this new one either, so I guess it's all a matter of trial and error. Someday I'll find something I like. Maybe I'll hunt down some tutorials.

I seriously wish I had photoshop 7. Elements gives me a headache since I have to get used to it now.

Um anyway, I'm pleased with how the background came out. It came out the way I wanted it to, but the character looks kind of strange to me. Which is irking. I spent maybe 10 or 11 hours on the whole picture, somewhat due to my lack of Elements knowledge.

In all, I don't think I measured up to Kye's stunning half. Which you can see here, if you'd like: [link]

But I spent too much time on it to doctor it any more. I'll puke if I spend another minute on it X3
