Thrust used to be a weapons instructor of Cliffjumper, Smokescreen Widncharger and Countdown before he was viciously murdered by a band of ruthless Decepticon rogues. After he was revived partially by Primus, Thrust went after his killers and promptly executed them with one of his favorite weapons, his heavy impact blade. Afterward, he encountered his old students and decided to test them by fighting them. After being defeated following the long grueling battle, he decided to tag along and meet all the Autobots, new and old. He was even welcdomed back by Optimus Prime personally. Thrust took him up on the offer of staying loyal to the Autobots, but not affiliating himself with them as the Decepticons might capture him and trace him back to the Autobot base if he wore an insignia. So he remains mostly neutral to this day.

The zombified teacher Thrust is based of the "ZOMBIE WITH A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS FOREHEAD!", Sid Barett. I thought this would be different since Thrust has pretty much always been a Decepticon and either a jet or a motorcycle. A snowplow is much more Autobot and much more intimidating.
