Anticipation and excitement kept rising with every passing minute and Dino took a deep breath to calm his thumping heart. It was the good kind of nervousness, though. This special kind of tension, just waiting to be released as the starting sign went off.
It was the next step for him and his young mare and the perfect chance to see, if their hard training would pay off. Luckily the lake at ASU provided a lot of different training options and water wasn’t an issue for Fantasia. The unfamiliar and unquestionably impressive water obstacles, however, posed to be a challenge. All he could do was rely on the mare and hope that she would - in return - rely on him as well, trusting his guidance.
“Alright, let’s rock this.”, he mumbled and patted the mare’s neck when it was time for them to take position at the start line.
