a sketch based on a picture i found in a mag ad. i'm not sure what the stone figure is (probably an angel). i lost that page, together with the other sketches i made out of it. and, yeah, i lost the original drawing of the scanned image here.~sigh.* anyway, i still want to share this with you.

THAT is utterly AMAZING! I love the the shading, and yeah, the half-face thing has been done, but its been done AMAZINGLY well here! I love it. I would almost like to see it in color, but no I think it might lose some of the mood it's got now. I wouldn't change a thing. AWSOME WORK *aadds to favorates*. PLEASE keep it up !

It looks like the wind is blowing her towards something and they eye really does make it stand out. The shading is excellent, but it looks a little strange at the inner corner of the mouth where there's a lot of value. Maybe that's what it really looks like, but it looks a little odd to me for some reason.

Oh, she is a pixie angel I think. She has a bit of sparkle in her eye and a tiny grin on her face. Maybe she is in cahoots with Cupid and this little pixie angle likes to shoot arrows in places other than the heart. It is still love ya know, but it is just a little distorted and doesn't really last, just hangs onto some words no body remembers after awhile which maybe surprise you when you realize you ever said them to that person in the first place. Yeah, she is a devilish little pixie angel...in deed, ya know?
You draw beautifully, Ruth, and so well in fact that I could see a personality in her. I think that is excellent! -*-joy-*-

That's very good, and it'd look awesome as the front of a brochure/flyer..hmm, i can imagine some typo on it that'd be great ;p

Your shadings great. Teach me I agree with savis great eye. but to me it looks more like a ghost ing the dark. keep up the great work.

Wow. That eye makes the whole image looks kind of spooky. Like a stone statue with a living eye.
Maybe you could write a short story/poem to go with it?
