This is wonderful. I am jealous of anyone who can paint in watercolors. I love the way they look, but they never work for me. Guess I'll just stick to the oils. I love all the colors in this, and your little fairies are too cute!!

The composition is well framed, and the colours well balanced.

I like the central image, it would probably make a nice repeating pattern, possibly for wall paper, it would go well in a childs room.

There is a hint of William Morris about the piece, and I find his work astonishingly good.

LOOOOOVE Deviation

i love how everything coexist. she's one with nature. it seems so natural that she looked in the metaforest searching for diadems, guiding Joy, lively and thoughtful as she is. almost every instant the details strikes a chord; how it radiates the love, the tight bond they shared. i love how it's so ripe and alive. oh and the wings! so very stunning, ruth. *hugs*

*sigh*

i've looked at this at least 20 times since you've submitted it, each time heartbroken, searching to pull some words together, for some response... i'm still empty.

beautiful. i can't say anything. your work brings me to tears. piece back a broken heart.

--
a lone tear soars
minutes in free fall
another hand extends
and this drop is caught-

palm up, dead center

the weight of hurt souls
gently ripples the skin
rolling out to shivering elbows
to heavy shoulders
to confused thoughts
to scared hearts
wraps itself around broken feet
and slides back, sinking in

remnants contact and spark
charging along weakened nerves
shocked reality settles
as a broken heart implodes

and one tear soars
and one hand extends

man... it is so hard to try and put the pain of mari's loss behind me

but this was something of a warm spring light... your art is bright, happy, full of positive energy and compliments well her work. you honor her memory ruth because of this. and i know she must be smiling down on you for it.

mmm... now i must go and read her poem (sigh).

Great job Ruth... this is just breathtaking and is a perfect companion for Mari's poem.

I love this work so much and it made me stare at the screen for a loooooooong time. It captivates me and makes me smile, for the images and colors are so uplifting. Thanks Ruth for this. I needed this, especially after noticing that my art is still saturated with warm colors and my poetry with heavy emotions.

Perhaps someday, I will reach the beauty and lightness that your art work provides... but until then, please continue giving us gifts like this.

Thanks again.

just beautiful, i love the style. the colors are great, the way you drew the leaves, everything... i havnt seen anything quite like this. its not how i visualised the poem, but i can see what you see now. i was going to do a childrens book once, well, sort of, but now cant even remember what it was going to be about. my memory aint so great, for some reason my brains are missing... ;p

I guess I sort of sat here and watched as each pixellated line read onto my monitor. It was so intriguing catching the words of that beautiful poem, the colors and delightful shapes appear from your imagination and knowing it was all born from those wonderful words of Mari's. This is breathtaking for its beauty, its tender, so tender imagination. Oh, Ruth, this is just so precious. What a treasure this is to me.
