entry for *MaxFirestorm 's contest.I listened to a couple of his songs, I found them kinda energetic, so that was the main idea behind the OMG GLOWY. Also according to some of the references I saw, Carl can use fire [probably a bad assumption on my part, sorry!], so I just went along with it.
it also helped a lot that i got the old stereo moved into my room and i've been abusing the bass boost and equalizer teehee <3
anyway, went with pretty simple shading here, cel shaded with texture added, except for the airbrushed ambient light and overlays, overall I'm kinda proud of the colouring. anatomy.... eh. could've done better. AT LEAST I GOT BACK INTO THE DRAWING GROOVE OMG
anyway i'd appreciate no critiques on this one. I KNOW I KNOW it's weird i normally love critiques, but today i just feel like utter poop and i kinda don't want crits sorry ;.; ILL LET YOU GO CRIT HAPPY ON THE OTHER DOODLE LATER

Well well, this is something new from the other deviations I've seen lately: I don't usually see cel-shading from your side.
Alright, let's get to the commentary: I believe the character has character portrayed rather nicely there, and the fire is absolutely gorgeus there. Since you said no critiques I will not point out some of the things I saw here unlless given the green light later on
