Description Take Your Time by Sam Hunt (www.youtube.com/watch?v=sv1lQU… )

You heard the bell signaling more customers. You thanked the bartender and turned away, bumping right into someone.

I couldn't just walk by, and not say hi

You nearly fell, but he gently grabbed your arms to steady you.

“Are you okay?” he asked. You stared up at him and nodded. The man you bumped into was incredibly handsome. Long, brown hair. Gorgeous green eyes. Adorable dimples. And very strong, you realized.

“Yeah. I'm just...a bit clumsy. Sorry,” you murmured, moving past him. He glanced after you to see if you were leaving. When he saw you sit down at a table, he quickly ordered a beer and came over to you.

“Uh, hi,” he said. You glanced up and smiled slightly.

“Hi.”

“I'm Sam. I didn't catch your name.”

“It's (Y/N),” you replied, taking a swig of your drink. He nodded to himself.

I don't wanna come on strong

He pursed his lips and took a drink, obviously trying to figure out something to say.

You glanced at him. “So, do you like to make friends with every random stranger that bumps into you?” you asked. He chuckled.

“Not all of them.”

“Oh, well don't I feel special?” He smiled, starting to become slightly more comfortable around you.

He asked if you lived in the area, and you told him you did. You asked where he was from, and he said practically everywhere.

I just wanna take your time

You told him a little about your job and family. He did the same. He laughed at one of your corny jokes and impressed you with his knowledge of different things. Things from the humanities to knowledge of the legal system.

You asked where he went to college, and he said he'd gone to Stanford to become a lawyer. You looked him over. He didn't look like any lawyer you'd ever seen.

I don't have to take your heart

“Wow. Fancy man, huh? So what brings you to this neck of the woods?” you asked, taking another sip of your drink. He shrugged.

“That life wasn't for me. I dropped out, and now my brother and I are kind of on a road trip. Seeing the sights.”

“Sounds like fun,” you said.

He chuckled and shook his head. “At times.”

Some guys getting too close, trying to pick you up

You opened your mouth to say something when another man sat down at the table.

“Hey, I'm Dean,” he said, smirking at you. You glanced between him and Sam. You saw the similar features and matching outfits.

“You must be the brother.”

He laughed. “Right you are. Now, how about I buy you a drink?” You saw the look Sam gave him and something clicked. You smiled at Dean and beckoned him closer.

The older Winchester leaned over and you whispered something in his ear. Sam stared at the two of you for a moment before taking a drink. When he put the bottle on the table again, Dean was gone.

He looked around and saw Dean over at the bar. “How'd you do that?” he asked. You smirked.

“I know the bartender. I told Dean that she gives out free drinks to cute guys that flirt with her. He seems to fit the bill.”

Come on, let's see where this goes

“Cute, huh?” Sam repeated.

You scoffed. “Well, yeah. But not exactly my type.” He glanced up at you.

“What is your type?”

I don't have to make you love me

“Someone with a bit less of an ego. And who doesn't look like the definition of trouble.” Sam laughed at your answer.

“Fair enough,” he replied. You suddenly realized how dark it was outside and you looked at your phone.

“Oh, crap. I need to go. I have work in the morning.”

“I'll walk you,” Sam said immediately. “To your car, I mean.”

You smiled at him. “That's sweet. Thank you.”

I don't want to go home with you, I just wanna be alone with you

Sam walked you out to the parking lot, and you took your keys out of your pocket.

“This was nice, Sam. Thank you.”

“Yeah.” You glanced at him and saw he looked a little like a lost puppy.

“Give me your phone,” you said. He frowned, but did as you asked. You typed in your number and handed it back.

“Whenever you're coming back this way, give me a call. I'd love to see you again.”

A smile broke out across his face. “Will do,” he promised.

You waved and honked as you drove off. He held up a hand in a wave. When you were gone, he scrolled through his contacts until he found your name.

He smiled to himself and went back into the bar, anxiously awaiting the next time he would see you.
