Description
Mattepainting of a mythical scene. The house was the only plate provided by my lecturer then i just add in the rest. I did a rough sketch, check perspectives, do a B&W tonal test then add in the colour. After i am satisfy with it, i add in reference texture to add the realistic look. Had trouble with lighting since it is my weakest area.Related content

I think your lighting is very good. The only critique I would have to give is that the cave is a little too bright. But other than that wicked job.

The three areas of light on the right could be toned down a bit, though. They draw the eye away from the house somewhat. Overall, though, this is awesomeness!
