(You live in a city near the sea. It doesn't really matter which one it just needs those requirements.)

You have been walking for about twenty minutes. You needed to cool off after your fight with your boyfriend/girlfriend. You weren't really watching where you were going, you mainly just stormed out of their house and, not wanting to look stupid, you kept walking and now you don't know what street your on. You looked up and saw a giant building lit up with blue lights. The walls were made of glass revealing large tanks full of a variety of different sea life. As the giant sign in front of it states, you were at a local aquarium. You didn't recognize this aquarium though, but that was probably because you didn't know what street this was. Were you going to go in? Eh, why not? Your flipping lover wanted to fight, you were having a bad day anyway. This might cheer you up.

As you walked inside the building you met with the a beautiful japanese looking woman. Her black hair up in a bun with the sides hanging freely. She didn't seem to speak much english.

"One?"

"Yes, just one."

She smiled. "啊，我明白了。你独自不是吗?"

"Um, I'm sorry?"

She seemed to laugh a bit. "Nothing." She tapped a few buttons on the register in front of her. "$45.95"

You reached into your bag and grabbed your wallet. You handed the woman your money and she stamped your hand and gave you a ticket. "Thank you!" As you walked passed her she turned waved. Then she went to help the next customers.

You were feeling pretty good. You even forgot about the fight. You were so mesmerized by all the animals you lost where you were going. Before you knew it you were at a dead end. You were thinking of just turning around and retracing your steps, until you realized the hallway went on. This was much darker though. There were no tanks, just blue lights. At this point you were seriously considering turning around. That was, until you saw a large tank, filled with decorations and all, entirely empty of sea life. This seemed extremely strange. Why would there be a fully functional tank in the middle of a seemingly empty room? You cautiously walked over and looked at the tank. You pressed your hand against the cool glass. You just stood there and watched the air bubbles float to the top of the tank. You really didn't understand wh- AAHHH.

To your surprise a creature came up from the bottom of the tank. She- or at least she looked like a girl- was sort of a humanoid type creature. From the top she looked like a young girl, except for the fins on her face, but the lower half of her body was a big fuchsia fish tail. She had long black hair and two orange horns growing from her head. The entirety of her skin was gray, other than her cheeks which were a faint shade of pink. And she wore a black shirt with the pisces zodiac on the front.

She smiled and seemed to laugh behind the glass at your surprise. She looked at your hand, then back to your face. Then she placed a webbed hand on the glass on top of yours. The glass now felt warm to the touch. She seemed to be able to calm you down from the shock of seeing a creature like her. You locked your (e/c) eyes with her fuchsia ones. You both held this look for a while when you both heard a door squeak open. Both of your heads turned to see a dirty blonde haired boy wearing what seemed to be 3-D glasses and a lab coat. Crap.

He looked up from a note on his clip board. "Alriight FF tiime for yo-" Your eyes locked. "How diid you get iin here?" He was clearly suppressing some sort of anger. The pen in his hand was shaking.

You looked at- what was her name?- did he say FF? She had clear worry in her eyes. It was because of her. He didn't want to get angry in front of her. Was something actually wrong here?
"I-i'm sorry. Did I do something wrong here?"

The boy looked at FF and started sweating. "You're not 2upposed to be here ma'am/2ir." He put a hand up to one of his temples. "There were warniing2, diid you not 2ee them?"

"No, I-I didn't. I'll just leave if you need me to."

"Look iit doesn't work that way." He walked closer to you. "You weren't 2uppo2ed to be here. I'm afraiid you wiill have to be fiined. And iif you tell anyone about thii2 we wiill have to have you arre2ted."

FF put her hands up to her mouth in shock. She looked as if this was her fault. Then someone else walked in the room. "Excuse my interruption Sollux. Can someone please explain what is happening?" His voice was calm and soothing. His black hair was a mess,and he had a beard that was thick on his face.

"2orry 2ignless. They ju2t iintruded and II wa2 telliing them, their penalty."

"Now, do you know if they meant to?" FF shook her head violently. "According to Feferi they didn't." Signless looked up at you seriously. "He is right about the penalty you know." Then he softened his look. "But maybe there's a better way then fining them?" He asked Sollux.

Sollux flipped through his papers. "Uh, II don't know." This mustn't have happened in awhile, or ever.

"Well we hire them!" Signless bellowed, making Sollux jump and drop his pen.

"Hire?" You looked at him questionably. "You mean like a job?" You just so happened to need one right around now.

"Of course!" Signless shouted again. You smiled. Being paid was definitely better than being fined.

All three of you worked things out and you got hired for a job that Signless would get recommend from the other employees. You had to wake up at six in the morning and be at the aquarium at seven. You met Signless where you met the japanese woman.

"Ah, (y/n) you made it." He shined a bright smile. "Come with me, come with me. I need to get you your uniform." You followed him with a bounce in your step. You love fish, and you want to see more creatures like Feferi. You almost couldn't fall asleep thinking about her. You stepped inside what seemed to be a waiting room. The only one in this room was a boy that looked vaguely like Signless. "Please wait here." He pointed towards the boy. "This is my son by the way. His name is Karkat."
Karkat looked up at you in acknowledgement. Signless looked at him. "Karkat, this is (y/n). They are going to be the new employee." Signless smiled at you. "I'll be right back!" Then he ran off.

You sat next to Karkat. "Hi!"

Karkat gave you a bored look. "SO WHAT IS MY DAD FORCING YOU TO DO." You jumped at his choice of volume.

"W-well I wouldn't say 'forced' exactly. I would say I had a choice of being fined, or getting a job here. And I was more willing to get a job."

Signless popped back through the door. "Hey (y/n) wanna try on your uniform?"

You stood up, you were pumped for your new job now. "Yeah!" Then both you and Signless ran out the door. Leaving a shocked Karkat in the break room.

When Signless stopped you stopped. You were now standing in front of a girl your age with short black hair. She had a green uniform, black lipstick, and stood with perfect posture. "My, It Seems You Were Able To Match Signless's Energy Levels." She giggled and continued. "It Takes A Lot To Be Able To Do That."

You laughed. "I'm just exited to see my uniform! Having a job here is gonna be awesome!"

She laughed and pulled an outfit out of a closet door next to her. It was...
