Heads up to anyone looking to 'use' this image. There are 10 copyrights, plus my big one hidden on that sucker. Yes, that means I can and will beat your sorry ass.

Onto another pointless Artist's Rant. I, uh, mean comment.

This was another one of my demented-lyric-inspired-perfectionist-challenges. The horse used to be a pretty little flea bitten gray with crappy quality and a halter/stud chain on. I completely painted that sexy mane and forelock from scratch with my not-so-trusty and on-death's-doorstep tablet. I can't wait until after Christmas when I can replace it. Anywho, I also did a some work on the tail (coughcuttingitoffandreconstructingitcough), and had to do a LOT of body work on that gal to make her look so purtty. The dapples are from other horses, but her leg and face markings are all my doing. Here, take a look at the original: [link] Yeah. Not a happy camper. x^D

So, to fit the lyrics I also had to give my lovie black mascara-like eye markings, a cross necklace, and a lock of someone else's hair behind her ear. Along with the gashes that suggest self-mutilation on her forelegs. I'll attach a link with lyrics to the song in the credits. I also wanted to throw an 'angel' in there, but horse nor bird would work (I just couldn't get it to look spiffy), so I settled on a feather behind the sub-text. I like it.

Had to do some minimal background blending, not super happy with the angles, but it doesn't look /too/ bad, does it? My first time using layer masks, so that was fun. I had a good time putting this together.

There are three layers of light rays/black filters plus a dark blue filter on top.

I don't even want to know how many layers are there all together. x^D I'd have to guess around 20 or so, but not sure.

The subtext was giving me crap, but I *think* I got it worked out. Give a holla' if it still looks icky.

Anyway, this started as just an ode to the song as I like doing so much, but turned into a new character for me to toy with. She'll be a nutter on Cimoron Island 2 who believes she communicates with an angel named Desira and serves the high master. 'Desira' is her guide who will help her and urge her to punish herself if she messes up, hence the gashes. She's kinda lost and doesn't remember why she has a lock of hair tucked behind her ear, or the cross (Though Desira tells her its The Master's mark.), so she goes along blindly. Should be a load of fun, 'eh? I already love my Shameykins and I have yet to RP her. x^D

Steal my idea, my manipulation, my underwear, and you will suffer. Not to mention I've got hordes of evil minions.
