Been on a Digimon kick as of late (thanks tcg), so on my AU bullshit. Everything here is basically all the information I've got for the AU currently, but all you need to know is Pika and Platinum are Skye's Digimon partners and Ash's two partners are currently undecided. It's actually pretty hard to decide what a Pokémon protag would have in a Digimon setting.

I had decided pretty quickly that Platinum becomes a Machinedramon as her final Digivolution rather than a ChaosGallantmon. And it is caused by some good ol’ Dark Digivolution, cuz of course Skye would trigger something like that.

Dark Digivolution is always a temporary thing in the show, so I thought--well, what if it wasn’t? And so, Platinum Warp Dark Digivolved into a Machinedramon and got her DigiCore fucked up so hard in the process, her original/true Digivolution data got overwritten by the Machinedramon data.

She’ll de-Digivolve back to Gigimon and Digivolve back to BlackGuilmon, but her Champion, Ultimate, and Mega stages are altered despite being able to Digivolve into BlackGrowlmon before becoming Machinedramon.
Her original Digivolution path was BlackGuilmon -- BlackGrowlmon -- BlackWarGrowlmon -- ChaosGallantmon, but the new path is BlackGuilmon -- DarkTyannomon -- Gigadramon -- Machinedramon.

I wanted to use Machinedramon because it’s a good Digimon (but god, is it hell to draw it’s complicated ass) and it’s really only ever been shown as a villain. And hey, it fits in with Platinum, as a Tyranitar, becoming a Dark type in her final evolution too. and i mean, tyranitar is a dark t-rex so

And Pika has her own Digivolving problem, cuz she can’t Digivolve past her Rookie stage (Violet!Elemon) and can only hold her Rookie stage for short bursts of time, akin to Champion or higher stages. She’s a Kyaromon!
