Hello dears and a very warm welcome! I hope the day has treated you well! A bit of an early upload but with Skyward's new redesign finally complete I simply can't wait to start drawing her again, I thought I would open up the floor for all of you to join in on the fun all as well! The objective of which is create a piece featuring Skyward. She can be doing anything, be anywhere, and interacting with anyone, though please try to keep her in character if at all possible. I was really hoping to gives a lot of artistic freedom and room for interpretation so please just have fun with it! Please click above for a link to all contest rules, prizes, and details.   ✿     Name: Skyward

  ✿     Nickname: Sky (Used by close friends and family)

  ✿     Birth date: September 22(Virgo)

  ✿     Personality: Motherly, optimistic, looks for the best in ponies, encouraging, Contentedly reserved, preferring to let her friends do the talking and mealy listen then to carry on a conversation herself, tends to get a bit fussy and overcritical, even self deprecating, when working on a particularly hard piece

  ✿     Voice and Manurisms: Has a warm voice with a hint a canterlot accent. Tends to use the nickname love or dear for nearly everyone in casual conversation. Educated dialect and a large vocabulary. Commonly uses polysyllabic words as well as affirmative phrases such as indeed. Speaks at an average pace but becomes easily flustered when conversing with a prestigious customer or professor. Has a bad habit of pawing at the ground when nervous.

✿     Profession: Typically works in her studio from 9-5 and tending to the occasional customer upfront. She enjoys taking a break from her painting to talk with anyone who enters the shop. ✿     Physical Characteristics: Skyward is a thin and lanky unicorn. Her freckles are most prominent on her face, when she was little freckles covered her shoulders and hindquarters as well. She does her best to keep her coat clean and well groomed despite working in a studio all day. The ivory fur, hazel blue eyes, and feathered hooves come from her father’s side.

✿     Clothing: When it comes to attire she prefers to keep things subtle for canterlot standards, normally only wearing partial clothing, most commonly her scarf and gold rimmed glasses, which she needs for reading in dim light

✿     Current Residence: 2758 West Cherry Blossom Lane. Canterlot, Equestria

✿     Current Residence Her small apartment doubles as her studio on the ground floor. Very clean, with beige walls and white crown molding as is with traditional Canterlot architecture. Being an artist her decor is carefully planned, clean and airy, with a light beige base accented by green, gold, and blue similar to her Cutiemark. Flowers are found throughout the house including outside the windows in flower boxes. She spends every morning on her small balcony overlooking one of Canterlot’s smaller and more wooded parks near the edge of the city.

✿     Pets: A Papillion named Leone who can often be found downstairs in the studio as she has free reign over all of the apartment.

✿     Morning Ritual: Waking up just after the beginning of Celestia’s sunrise Skyward sits on the balcony with her camellia tea before taking Leone on a walk. Then heading to the studio and getting set up for the day.

✿     Afternoon Ritual: Often will meet with her friends for coffee at lunch, on friday night however, she eats at the Nightengale, a local cafe every before going to the playhouse to see their current production or symphony.

✿     Other notes:

✿     Hobbies: Likes collecting feathers. Often displays her collection in her flower vases or framed in clean looking picture frames thought her home.

  ✿     A pretty good cook.

✿     Frequently dreams in her sleep

✿     Lemon cream cake would be her first answer if asked what her favorite food was, but if one was asking for dinner a Cesar salad with light Italian dressing.

✿     She secretly wishes to be nicknamed after songbirds.

✿     Skyward has fallen in love with the deep strings of the orchestra and loves attending plays and concerts in Canterlot but prefers to have Celtic playing in her studio because of its generally lighter and more upbeat air.
