All those changes were for the best,I think he has more personality now

Not as much evolved as devolved, I now draw somewhat similar not to how I did back in 1999 to 2002 except now more developed, in mid to late 2000's when I returned to cartoon art it all adopted a rather more simplistic look to my earlier stuff

mine, though I do like your style. I just think you could use some more original characters and stuff. You are a more talented artist then you give yourself credit for and you should utilize it I think. Though that's upto you, I don't wanna impose.

ah okay 83 and yeah i'm doing a lot of that this year, i realised one day i dont have many original characters at all and i'm itching to get onto making some X3 and also i need more portfolio stuff.

Alright hon, I've been looking at this old thing for a while now and there are few little things that bother me about it. Now please don't get me wrong, you're a lovely artist, but the little fellow just doesn't look as balanced as he used to. The old one looks really grounded, with weight and proportion. The positioning of the head in particular gives him a sense of balance, in the new design he almost looks ready to fall over. His little feet look alot less grounded too, and the sign looks like it's going INSIDE his head rather than behind it. On the other hand, I like the proportions SO much more! You did oh so very well with creating your own unique, personal style with this one!

This was a fairly rushed pic because I wanted to churn it out before new year and frankly I didn't take as much care as I should have. I have a question though, how is it you think his head as more unbalanced when his head is much smaller in proportion to the original, I mean I don't wanna throw advice back in your face but you really have to be more specific on your point

It's not really the size, it's more it's positioning. There's a greater sense of gravity in the old one because the head is more balanced on the body, in the later drawing, the head is pushed more towards the side which knocks in off balance some.

Oh, I'm not, I never worked hard on this one, I kinda rushed it out into production and I really didn't iron it out at all. part of it too is the fact that I've had much less time lately to produce any new drawings

a good comparison and I'll always prefer new to old but there are some issues with his pose. his stance is a little awkward he seems to be teetering there a little. legs and feed need to be pulled back a bit. The sign does kinda work in the old drawing because everything is flat but in the new pose it seems like the sign should be in front rather than behind warrecks head. i think maybe this is mostly a problem with his silhouette that is making things look awkward (should be able to see his forms more seperate from each other, ie. bit awkward having his tail not touching his elbow). Anyways I know you didn't ask for crit but you seem to always appreciate them and take advice into account so i hope my input was helpful. Absolutely loving Warreck's expression in this, very chuffed.

Although I do like some of the features of the old model, I like the direction you took because it's original and is very distinct style. If I saw the left one and didn't know better, I would say that it could've been drawn from anybody. However, the new Warreck has your style, I can look at the picture and tell that it came from you, it's more of something that only you could do. When I used to draw Buggy, I was obsessed with John K's style of drawing and tried to borrow many styles from him, but it didn't feel he was my character anymore. How I draw much of my characters now I work on making my own style, it's kind of a hybrid style i guess you could say

I agree, when I first made him there was very little to set him appart from characters like Felix the Cat or what ever. That;s why he went though as many chances as he did.

I didn't really think of felix the cat but I do see a similarity now when I look at his older design, except that Warreck is not nearly as innocent
