Why does this look more Eastern that what I usually draw? It's simple this is actually for a class project I'm working on where I have to design a remake of the Super Nintendo game Secret of Mana. These are one of the enemies in the game but I wanted to be somewhat authentic and keep it with something of a Japanese qualityRelated content

I see the half-done eyebrows and a lot of concentrated effort in retaining the quality... the colors seem a little drab with full shading, but if cel-shaded or pixellated it'd look fine. You know your media. ^^ Impressive!

Funny you mention Secret of Mana since I just heard a song from that game a moment ago.
But anyway, the colors and the lines are two big strengths of this and I like how the pose and facial expression came out too. The overall style is also very well done and the smooth shading is a plus too.
