Great job on the colours and expressions! The sadistic look on the doctor's face is priceless. Got a laugh out of the poster too! I noticed your style has changed a bit, it's looser and more lively. I really like it.

Well thank you, and yeah time does have a way of changing things as in our pursuit to better our work out styles even if subtly are in constant flux.....Though honestly I intentionally moved a way of some of the more angular stylistic choices of 2010 because while it sometimes worked well I think it looked a little stiff at others.

Firstly, your expressions. Riley looks like she's boiling from the inside and her mind is breaking within, and she's about to really do something violent. That's gotta be the best thing you captured in this I think, because it couldn't be anything more like her. You always go way beyond just a simple angry expression, you can sense the thoughts inside the character and it's always been one of if not your biggest strength. Also, the doctor guy just looks so sleazy as I said before! LOL he cracks me up! Seriously, it's just like Riley to come into a situation with some perverted doctor who seemingly doesn't know where testicles are located, and to assume she is a guy at all is just.. haha, yes. One of the many banes of her existence. If you ask me, he probably deserves what coming to him. XDD
I love all the details in this though, the way you draw fabric and clothes seems to be improving too. The doctors stethoscope sticking out of the back of his neck is a nice touch, and of course I love what you did with poster in the background there. Lmao, it looks like that mustard coloured dog you keep on drawing. I have a default dog character like that too haha, he often pops up randomly or I doodle him out of the blue.

lol yes that mustard dog is my stock character I use when I can't think of another character to used, though this one has a slightly different snout.....relative maybe? I'm really glad you like this and I put a lot of thought into the drawing even if it's centered around a silly joke. Expressions I think is the most important and sadly the most neglected part in cartoon art.....even more important in a still picture because it needs to convey much more with much less.

I really love the expressions. Riley looks like she has snapped! And the poster in the background is priceless. If it weren't obvious the doctor is a bit... dodgy.... to say the least, that poster reiterates it.

Yeah I wanted the lighting in this to look like one of those cheap oppressive looking florescent lights that are always that bit off colour. Riley is always a fun character to draw because while she doesn't fit cute in a classical sense there is still always something about her that is never the less.....maybe cuteness within her own flaws. I'm glad you like it.
