Hmm, interesting idea, makes me think a bit of the Capcom game Demon's Crest, which had sorta the same idea about the elements and the different forms.
This looks really good, love the design for the environment and all the details. I will admit it does seem kinda weird how he's staying up like that, he doesn't look like he's holding onto anything.
