OK, so I did decide to at least to flat color him...And expereiment with some filters in a couple of areas.Full shading and highlights? Leaning toward 'no' right now.
Swords are the best I have ever done at least....
And FYI: the swords he is holding are kisans....

I do prefer coloured pictures to B&W. By the way, I thought the foot-guards would be made of metal, but I guess that's just my imagination running wild

Excellent job, the flat coloring looks nice, and the swords are very intricate, however, it looks as if he's missing a set of mandibles...I dunno maybe its just me

The upper set of mandibles is mostly hidden under 'cheek skin' (for lack of a better phrase). This mandible style is based on the style used in the The Duel.

Well, we speculated they only emphasized their mandibles when in combat or otherwise angry when on their homeworld.

Oh my god, the details on the two swords are just... i can't even form words to tell you how amazing they are. This entire piece is amazing, and can't wait for more
