Hmm... I never thought about that, but it's quite possible that all my worm-creatures were subconsciously inspired by that book, since I'm a real fan of Herbert...

Have you read all of them? I love them so. I watch the new movie, like, at least twice a month and reread the first Dune once every year or so. I think what I take into my own writings from Dune the mot is the political intruige. It just makes my day. And I'm a HUGE Vladimir Harkonnen fan. I love the way they portrayed him in the new film. So much better and more accurate than the old one, huh?

A pity, but I haven't seen the new one (unless you mean that miniseries). The old one by Lynch is and probably will remain my total personal favorite. It's sooo wonderfully morbid
Yeah, I've read all the books, except the late "House Corrino", but I'm not even sure it exists, so I guess that doesn't count
