Born with superhuman strength, fangs and claws, and a way to insulate himself against the cold, Victor Creed was rejected by his abusive family and set out on his own. As Sabertooth, he was an assassin and mercenary for various organizations including Team X, part of the Weapon X program. Though friendly at first, he became the sworn enemy of Wolverine. The two battled constantly and Sabertooth often pretended to be an ally of the X-Men, always turning on them in the end.
