I don't see how this is, a well lit shot with clear concern to the angle and look, is less "artistic" than the pictures of flowers you upload
Sorry to break it to you, but Slawa's works take more effort to make than if I were to just stroll up to a flower and take a shitty picture of it

2) I don't go to the beach. Honestly, I hate the sun. And I don't think many people wear bikinis at night. xD

If young people don't want their opinions to be dismissed as those of children that know nothing, some context needs to be applied to one's requests. As opposed to "OMG, look, a butt, so gross" as stated further down by the same young person.Β
By all means, the truly mature stuff should be filtered, but this? C'mon...?Β

According to the rules of this site it is not in any need of filtering. By the personal rules of a decent chunk of the modern world, such a picture can be enjoyed on more levels than just the sexual. By current standards it is in not pornographic. It doesn't bother me at all even though its primary purpose is to evoke sexual titillation I feel the purpose of art is to evoke some response of thought, feeling or both. So this is art to me. If not terribly original (or even slightly so). So you see I have no particular problem with this piece.Β
I was responding to the manner in which you responded to what seemed a fairly mild comment hoping for change to me. I admit that I didn't investigate farther down to see if they were being harassing. Seeing it I can understand your reaction more now. Not sure if fighting fire with fire is always the way but I guess they "asked for it".Β
In my youth the old called for censorship (quite a few still do) and the young, mostly males, tried to get around it. Now I'm in the middle and seeing vocal call outs for censorship or against "objectification" from groups on both extremes and a decent chunk in between. Everybody has slightly to very different reasons but the desire for greater censorship for things out in the general public does not appear to be an age based thing. It has a lot more to do with your precise combination of cultural/family/religious influences than age. I find this piece perfectly acceptable, if unnecessary, but would bulk at female breasts or anybody's genitalia being shown. Someone from another background/country would think I was being fairly silly about wanting to censor art with a woman's bare chest in it. Others would want everybody fairly covered from knees to neck and so on and so forth like snow flakes of opinion with ages all over the place.
Too little censorship makes the majority of us incomfortable/unhappy and too much does the same thing.Β
Basically its just a line in the sand we have drawn in an attempt to make as many of ourselves comfortable while out and about in the world, according to our taught/learned beliefs and expectations, as possible. None of us are right or wrong about the level of censorship needed. We keep redrawing the line in the sand as indicated by the amount of bitching on either side. Too many people get openly vocal about the need for censorship and the line moves towards more censorship enough people start pushing the other way through both talk and action and it starts creeping back.Β
Complaining is a huge part of how we decide where that line goes. So Starlightbeat had been more polite about it I wouldn't really have seen any harm in it. (apparently they weren't but we'll leave that for now)Β
But no one is talking about banning anything? We have a system of self censorship here that allows for two levels of tag (strict and moderate) so that people can reduce it to a barrier that people over 18 can choose to click through. Maybe a third level for things of a mild nature like this would be helpful to those whose background makes bumping into such things disquieting. Why with enough tags like this. One for every level we could set it up so that the people who want censorship for there or their dependents (children's) accounts can CENSOR THEMSELVES while those that would see... can see.Β
