I can think of one way to make it useful. Have it also break if you're shot by bullets. When it breaks, sniper has increased speed until it's replaced

No it's not. I've seen many Unusual-Hat-Wearing Snipers use the Razorback. Some Spies are smart enough to either avoid or use their revolvers. Or, if you're an excellent Spy and can try and back stab him twice, then yeah.

unusual or not, it's still worthless. ANY spy with half a brain would know not to backstab a razorback sniper. given the fact that the model is so HUGE you'de be blind not to notice a sniper has it. AND it only blocks 1 backstab unless you die or go to a locker. AND it takes up your 2ndary slot which could be used for something more useful like jarate, or the smg, heck even the danger shield has its moments. and the fact that in most teams (unless it's a valve/trade server) only have 1-2 spies. and like you even said, any spy could easily just shoot sniper in the back of the head. the only real time ive ever seen a spy backstab a razorback is if he's trolling or insulting the sniper. it's a weapon with way too many drawbacks and a upside that's pretty much unnoticeable.Β

True, it uses up 2nd slot and you can use something more useful but what would happen if you started to focus more on picking your targets and not bounce around? Or you immediately look through your scope for two seconds and BAM! Spy just backstabbed you. And yes, if the Spy uses his revolver and hits you, get out of the way and try to headshot him (if you're a Sniper who's really good at shooting people's head off at close encounter) or use your kukri (either with the bleeding effect or the low health, high damage) Razorbacks are useful, they're just avoided. And that's one of the good things. Which would you rather prefer: Don't have a Razorback and when a Spy finds the advantage, he backstabs you OR Have the Razorback and have Spies either avoid you or fight with your other weapons?

you have to remember that most spies now adays use the ambassador or store crits with the diamondback. and with that most snipers are shot dead before they can even react (plus switching out to melee may not be the best idea because at that point the spy has range on you) and the fact is that backstabs bother everyone, and no matter who you play you always have to be aware of what's around you. but the razor back tends to promot being more oblivious to your surroundings (mindset: im in the back, cant get stabbed = safe) and they let there guard down, perfect time to get shot 
either way, it's big, it's visible, it takes up 2ndary, and it only blocks 1 backstab. and it's not just the sniper, if you put this weapon on any class it would be bad. take heavy for example: if you have a giant clunky turtle shell strapped to your ass you're gonna get shot by the spy, AND Β because it takes the 2ndary slot you cant use a reserve shotgun, or the sandvich if you have low health. and we have the fact that it only blocks ONE type of damage from ONE class. so no matter what how you put it it only has a 1/9 chance of being useful, and the spy can kill in at least 2 ways, so it has a 1/10 chance of being useful (maybe higher)

Well, you do speak true words but remember, most weapons that aren't stock has an advantage but as well as a disadvantage.
Ex: Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol. You can never take fall damage as well as having more health. However, you're 50% vulnerable to fire.
Ex: Sandvich. You can heal yourself or other teammates, however it takes time to get it out of your pocket and when you're eating.
The Scattergun doesn't have any effects, both negative and positive, which makes it a good shotgun for Scout or the Mini-gun, again no effects and makes a good weapon for Heavy. However, if you are aware of the disadvantages you have when using any weapon that isn't stock, then you should know what to avoid like the PBBP, use it against a Pyro-less team or the DDS, where you must avoid getting hit by explosive and whatnot.
Remember, most weapons have positive and negative effects.

they do, but at the same time you have to weigh the good vs the negative. as an example: the sun on a stick, generally considered a bad weapon. it does less damage but has crits twards enemies on fire... the only real time this weapon will EVER be of use is if you're constantly hanging around and annoying a friendly pyro trying to steal his/her kills. or the sandman, generally considered a good weapon. you have the ball and all that stuff but 15% less health. that 15% minus health really shouldn't matter anyways cause if you're getting pumped full of bullets like a ghetto vending machine, you're really not doing your job well in general.
i've even made a list of the top 10 worst weapons in tf2 if u wanna c. it's filled with shit like the razorback or the sun on a stick (this list doesn't really apply to mvm though.)

Razorback is useful in some useful situations like not getting backstab. Sun on a Stick, however, is a terrible weapon. Why do you want to steal kills for? Big Earner, don't get me started. It makes the Kunai look more useful!Β Β Shahanshah, though is a good weapon if you ask me. Close encounters and I've won at all of them. Hell, it's my new Bushwacka! XD Eureka Effect is useful for you to escape, that is, if you're not being chased. Homewrecker is useful for helping Engies destroy the sappers in one hit and can be used at a distracted sentry or unguarded dispenser but who does that when you got a flamethrower? Fist of Steel, yeah, not really perfect. TheΒ Claidheamh MΓ²r, it's useful for an escape tool or chasing tool. Ignore the decrease of health and you'll see it more as a buff. And the Pain Train. Unless there's no sentries or Heavies, I'm all good.
You do got me there at how there's the crappy weapon but there are a few that are good for a few advantages.

Ham Shank = Random Crits. Never, ever fight players with them in melee fights and I taught a lot of players about it. Even for the ones who never learn.

blocking a single backstab is the only thing the razorback is good for, even then like i said early most spies will shoot you down and make you feel stupid for not having a good 2ndary.
and remember with this list it's 1 per class and some classes have no real "bad weapons" as stated before so i just picked the worst of the bunch. and the eureka effect is worthless. if you getting chased down and want to escape, it's most likely because you didnt build your sentry in time (or at all) and you pause and make a loud noise before escaping and that period is a great time to get to get turned into a human jerky strip, or shot upside the head, or take a knife to the butt. and as of soldier, there are no real bad weapons for him and so i picked the worst of the bunch. that's why i picked the pain train, it's the most situational.Β

Well, I'm gonna put something here: You say it's useless and I'll say it's useful. We both have our opinions and I respect your thoughts of the Razorback being useless. still trying to think how the damn thing can be useful though... just about everywhere i go i find examples of why it's horrible to use... I GOT IT! I FOUND A GOOD USE FOR IT.Β
when i go soldier/demo, and i see your average sniper use the razorback, it always brings a smile on my face. it just makes the domination so much easier, no need to worry about jarate, extra health, or any of that other annoying stuff. ^u^ i guess in that way it does make my life easier after all ^^

Well, unless the Sniper is a sharpshooter after using the Jarate or if the enemy is near him or if he's using the DDS, since it gives more explosive vulnerability, you're good. XD
If you see a Pyro with a golden mask and hat while wearing a trickster's suit, that's me, reflecting a rocket back atcha or throwing you in the air and Powerjacking you.

I'll say this:
1. Beware of a Scout with a golden trunk, filled with money as he'll chase you down.
2. Beware of a Soldier with his stash and mask as he wields either a Black Box or Original.
3. I already told you.
4. Beware of a Demoman with a Bolgan and mask while having a chest on him. He's explosive. And if he's wearing armor on his shoulders or nothing, then he's gonna chop you.
5. Beware of a Heavy with spikey helmet.
6. Beware of a Pip-boy wearing Engineer. He may not have a shotgun with burst rounds but he is precise with his shots.
7. Beware of a Medic since he's gonna heal his patient.
8. Beware of a Sniper with a DDS and golden hat. If he doesn't have a golden hat, beware of his Lucksman skill.
9. Well, just make sure no one's following you. The last time you look back is the last time you'll live.

...anyone listening to music while sniping is just asking to get killed. Y'gotta listen to your surroundings. That's how I avoid the most backstabs. Except that occasional spy who runs from the SAME place each time (passing through the view of my scope, BTW) and runs RIGHT for me, disguised as different teammates, yes, but then tries to stab me. FYI, mate, you'd be awfully thick if you thought that would work on me. Even as inexperienced as I am, I KNOW you're a spy. Hence why I aim right for your bloody head and shoot every time.
Love this comic though. RED Spy had it coming, BLU Sniper wasn't too happy to die in Meet the Spy.
