I primarily use Daz Studio which actually I hate. It's a buggy prog that ultimately is just a money trap.  I would never encourage anyone to invest their time in it.   I recommend XPS / XNA Lara as a better alternative.  There's literally thousands and thousands of free assets available for it on Deviant Art. The "free" assets are vastly superior since they are mostly ripped from games.  I have too much time and $$$ invested in DS to change myself at this point.  There are a ton of tutorials for XPS too.  Searching DA and googling is the best place to start with that.
