Description
Been looking into the S&M on and off for awhile now and wanted to edit the above into a pre-NWR map (mile figures are close in my opinion but not to be taken as definitive). For the record no evidence that i'm aware of suggests the Norramby branch was undertaken by the S&M as stated on the TTTE site but equally there's no mention that the NWR funded it either, in fact the earliest reference concerns the joint suburban service that started in 1925 thanks to the running powers agreement with the LMS that lasted into the BR era. Basically I can edit it out easily enough but for now at least have left it in.A final point is that I removed 'The Railroad' north of Crovan's Gate but retained it south of the line as I believe it was kept going until road transport advancements made it obsolete. Presumably the SR primarily used it once again to export copper and slate in the fourteen years that passed by until it was reconnected with a railhead though after that it would of fallen back to just regular use for getting goods between the port and the market town.

But by looking at the distances between stations, there is a number I noticed with an M near it. So am I right to guess that this is how many miles apart each settlement is by rail?

Yep the figures I added represent the mile estimate between the stations.

This looks good. it is nice to actually know what the Sodor and Mainland Railway looked like.
It reminds me of my Mid Sodor Railway map that I made.
PS. Whats the red and blue branch line that leads into Henry's Tunnel? Why is it different to the rest of the Norramby Line?

Had completely forgotten that you edited that, very nice.
The one going to the Henry's tunnel area represents the project to reach Barrow and the mainland but the tunnel collapsed and the channel bridge never became operational and so in the end the S&M did not operate north of Ballahoo. My guess is that the rails were eventually lifted and used to replace worn track elsewhere though the bed would of been relaid by the NWR at some point, maybe not in WW1 or the difficult period just after though.
The blue line going to Kirk Ronan represents the extension project that was completed by 1865 and the other one is the dubious spur going to Norramby, annoyingly no published book sheds light on who undertook the project.

Will you make a map for the Wellsworth & Suddery Railway and Tidmouth, Elsbridge & Knapford Railway?

At some point yes, definitely need one for the Wellsworth & Suddery thread on SiF. At the moment though concentration is on the S&M and Neilson research, almost finished an edit of the above for when the line just concerned the four towns.
