I spent some time writing more background for the Wilderkyn tribe that Lei Ran belongs to and was the perfect opportunity to redesign her outfit!

Full armor of cold steel deviates from the traditional dress of her people, but the mask Lei Ran wears has been passed down through the generations. Various parts like the helm's mane and cloak's trim are made from the luxurious fur of Highland sheep.

There is always one eminent warrior from each Wilderkyn tribe, distinguished by an animal mask that is worn for life. Prospective children who show traits of leadership, strength, and sensibility are given less permanent masks of carved wood. Their personal identity is not as important as the warriors they are meant to embrace and represent.

Lei Ran belongs to a tribe of two Wilderkyn races who have been in friendly competition for ages, the wolves and the rams. Their very name changes depending on which side raises the strongest warrior. Currently they are known as the Shanfeng, and under a ram warrior they would be the Qingfeng.
