He probably felt pretty lonely and left alone, especially when he was younger...I actually attempted to draw him as a young kid for this, but I couldn‘t get it done properly
These characters in their normal design are already pretty hard to draw for me...I but I‘m on a huge nostalgia trip since seeing the movie and it reminicing of my childhood has made me a lot happier these last days!

O the poor little dwt! This is very sweet and sad. There’s something about the fact he’s still sticking right there even if he’s miserable about it too.
It was super interesting in the film that we saw Sonic grow up so isolated, that was a new twist and it was almost impossible not to want to compare with Knuckles. Will be super interesting if they do bring him in in the next film. (One assumes by now it’s done well enough to warrant a sequel and the def dropped the hooks in!)
