Description
-----------------The two teens continued to glare at one another, not uttering a word. Their Pikachu sat at their feet, looking at their trainers with concern. Friends fight, but they shouldn't fight as much as what Ash and Jericho do. The young brunette clenched her hands into fists to try and control her emotions, Honestly, she didn't know why they were fighting in the first place. He just happened to say something that made her blood boil, and that was it, she snapped!
"Honestly Ash Ketchum, I have no idea how I've managed to put up with you all these years!" Jericho exclaimed angrily, glaring at the teenage boy in front of her.
"Put up with me?! I should be saying that to you, Jericho!" Ash retaliated, gritting his teeth together in annoyance. For once, he didn't mean to get her angry. All he said earlier was that she needed to relax, because she'd been so high strung these past few days. And thatΒ was all it took to send her off. Ash had to wonder why she was being so moody lately, he at first thought it was because she had to have something to eat, but that wasn't it. "Besides, all I said was you needed to calm down!" he growled, looking her square in the eye.
"Calm down? Calm down?! I was calm until you opened your big mouth!" Jericho growled back, she was beginning to lose it. WhyΒ did the simplest words make her so angry? She'd been fighting with herself to tell Ash about how she felt about him over the past couple of days. Today, she was more wound up than usual because she thought she would be able to finally admit she was in love with him. But then the 'goofball' had to say something and everything just went up in smoke. Jericho turned her head away, frustrated that she was angry at Ash for no reason. She was more angry with herself, that she got angry with him in the first place, over absolutely nothing.
"What's been with you lately, anyway?" Ash asked, looking at her with concern. His anger receded and confusion replaced it, along with worry. Jericho lifted her head a little, looking at him from the corner of her eye with surprise. She really didn't think he'd stop being angry that quick. Her cheeks started to glow a little, and she turned her head away once more, her embarrassment had started to show through her annoyance and anger. Maybe she should try and explain her actions?
"...... N-Nothing's wrong with me," Jericho stammered, her eyes widening at how flustered she was becoming. She mentally slapped herself in the face. Ash tilted his head to the side slightly, wondering why she was being so nervous around him all of a sudden.
"Jewels? Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, placing a hand onto her shoulder gently. Jericho stiffened up a little, turning to look back at Ash with surprised eyes. Could she tell him? Maybe then she wouldn't have to keep pretending she was ok. She opened her mouth, ready to tell him everything, but she couldn't find the words. Her heart felt like it would jump out of her chest any moment now. She continued to stare at Ash, trying to find her voice, but it was like it had suddenly vanished. She sighed, looking down for a while, then looked back up at him with one of her fake smiles that she'd gotten so used to using over the last few years.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just haven't been sleeping all that well," she lied, trying to sound as convincing as she could. Ash watched her for a while, he knew she was lying to him about something, he just couldn't figure out what it was. He grinned back, deciding that she'd tell him what was on her mind, when she was ready to.
"Ok! Just wanted to make sure," Ash smiled, pretending to go along with it. Jericho rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Y'know, sometimes you really know how to push my buttons, Ash Ketchum," she said in mock anger.
Ash just grinned back with his signature smile, "That's cause it's fun!"

Alright! So, basically in this picture here if you hadn't already guessed... Ash and Jericho had gotten into an argument, and Jeri was going to tell Ash how she felt about him. Keep in mind that her feelings for Ash develop over the years they've spent travelling together, so it's not like it was love at first sight or something! Her character is quite interesting because she shows her most bubbly, determined and self-assured attitude most of the time, but there are times when she becomes insecure, timid and not so confident in herself. There's quite a bit of depth to her character, I just need to continue to refine some points. Her profile will be put up soon, I'm almost finished with it, I just need to work on her backstory. Anyway, this picture was referenced from a screenshot of one of the XY episodes with Ash and Serena. I hope you all enjoy this pic and please let me know what you think of it!

Haha! Well, in my fanfiction that I'll start writing one of these days, my OC Jericho,Β actually grew up being his childhood best friend. And during the beginning of their journey together, they were rivals. But then Jeri decided on becoming a Coordinator instead, when they went to the Hoenn Region. I believe that she develops feelings for him over time. When they were in Kanto, the Orange Islands and Johto together, she really couldn't stand his boundless energy when it came to Gym Battles and competing in the Leagues and such. But, in Hoenn, since she's become a Coordinator - she has a different outlook on things. Over the course of travelling in Hoenn and Sinnoh, she starts to become aware of her feelings for Ash. And it isn't until she meets up with him in Kalos that she finally understands her feelings well enough to try and confess to him. I kind of want their relationship blossom from being friends into something more, on a natural basis. I think that's what I'm trying to aim for anyway. It's not like one of those 'love-at-first-sight' pairings. (Even though I personally love those kind of romances!! Weird quirk of mine, I guess!) And strangely, I know how most people like to base their OC's on themselves and such, but in reality, Jericho is nothing like me. Well, yeah, not really anyway!! Her personality in particular is quite the contrast against mine! Haha!

Hmm, I guess you're right about that. Miette seems to be much more of a rival to Serena than what Shauna does. But being rivals and friends at the same time isn't so bad. But I definitely wanna see a female rival for Ash. It'd be interesting to see his butt get kicked by a girl!! Haha!

I skipped most of Sinnoh due to my step dad. He was kind of an Assw*pe, He never let me watch my TV shows.
But i rewatched most of it by now. I dont like Paul one bit. He was an ass. Trip was just a jerk. Major diff there
You could count Iris in, but, Let's be honest, his Unova Self wasnt that great of a battler, He fought much better in Sinnoh. And now even better

Oh, that had to suck... But at least you've watched most of it now, so that's a good thing! I guess everyone has their own opinion about the characters an such. As I said, not sure why I liked Paul anyway, it could have been just because he provided a lot of challenges for Ash to overcome, especially when Ash lost to him all the time until the Sinnoh League. Oh that battle was so awesome!! I actually rewatched that match not long ago and I still get goosebumps everytime the suspense builds up!! Haha! Of course, Ash will always be number 1 for me!! Ever since I first started watching the anime when I was 5, he was my favourite character. And Pikachu became my favourite PokΓ©mon. And I'm 19 now, still love watching it!! Anyway, back to the main point here.. I totally agree with what you're saying though, Ash battled so much stronger during the Hoenn and Sinnoh arcs than what he did during Black and White. But now that XY is on, it seems like he's starting to become more mature and smarter when he battles, although he's still the same energetic guy he always has been.

I watched Pokemon since the first episode and i was blown away, i really liked it. When i came home, i made sure to finish my homework before the show started, so i could watch it before my step dad got home
Pikachu is Number One for me aswell, but closely followed by Charizard and Swellow.^^ And i still love watching it, although i'm 23 and a half

Yep, the battle strategys he pulled of so far in X ans Y are amazing. Draco Meteor climb, using the same taktic to knock down a devastating Aurasphere, the battles in general, so far the most epic one is vs Clemont, closely followed by the fairy trap that is Gym 6, after that is Cillage City and then Korrina

Too true... Our favourite energetic knuckle-head sure has grown some, hasn't he?! Ooh!! I remember that episode!! Serena didn't exactly 'deny' that she had feelings for Ash, did she?!! Haha! Defs love the Amourshipping moments, almost as much as the Advanceshipping moments in Hoenn and Sinnoh (When May competed in the Wallace Cup - I loved her dress too!!).
Hmmm... interesting question... I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna handle that... I do know that somewhere in the fic where Jeri meets up with Ash and the others in Kalos, the two girls sparked up a heated rivalry! I think it would be like Serena finds Jeri intimidating, considering that she grew up with Ash and has spent so much time with him. On the other hand, for Jericho, hearing how much attention Ash gives Serena (from helping her to find her own dream, always encouraging her to do her best, to even asking only her out of all his other female companions, to travel with him). I think Jeri would most certainly get jealous to the point where she'd feel like she's been replaced as his closest friend (besides Pikachu of course). And I think that's what also contributes to 'said picture we've been commenting on' Ash and her arguments. Mind you, they did have a few squabbles growing up together, but that was more harmless fun, than downright nasty comments and hair-pulling. But, I think Jeri grows quite a bit when she spent a whole year away from him. (I was originally going to have her head to Unova with him, but decided against it.)

Yes! I id watch those episodes when Dawn came back for the Junior Cup! But I was kinda hoping her team had changed a little, instead of Cyndaquil just evolving, it stayed virtually the same as when we last saw her in Sinnoh.. I was really disappointed...

Its sad tho, i never saw Ash telling the X and Y family in how much regions he has been and how many people he met. There is one hint during that Golden Magikarp episode where they are looking at some Piplups, where Ash is hinting on Dawn's Piplup, but thats it. Either he telled them all off screen what happened so far or he simply forgot to tell them. They only know he came from Kanto, thats all

Awe! I just watched Clemont's and Ash's battle earlier today, since I didn't learn any other language besides English, I have to watch the English Dub! So I can't really compare the differences, and I only read English Subs on a very rare occasion. But you're right! Such an awesome battle!!

Same here, although i have enough to do to fill in the time between.
I saw some sites with a list and the differences between japanese and US airing, its around 65-80 days, its quite a time. The beginning came so quickly because japan aired Pokemon nearly two years before the US did, so they had enough time to dub, i guess.^^
