Ya'll are probably sick of Briar pics. maybe I should get a seperate account for her!In honor of her getting famous today.
This is a new face up that I did using MSC and I think way better than the face ups using testors dullcoat as a primer. Just a dream!
Calling it Pheonix cause its all in shades of red ,ocher and bleu with some pearl. Firey yeah!
Used pastels,watercolor pencils and a bit of acrylic. Think perhaps darker more angled brows are in order. This is French resin (white) prototype #1. my personal baby now.
Shes waiting for some new wigs. She looks ready to get to scrubbing the laundry.Sorry for the fug lack of clothes and goodies BJD photos usualy got goin.

Briar is my kind of girl--just look at her hair! (I LOVE wacky hair colour but am afraid of destroying my hair with the bleach required for bright colours.)

Me too. I want to bleach my hair so I can try neat colors,but its black so Id have to strip it alot. Once I got it orange in spots!

I'm terrified my dirty blonde hair would fall out if I bleached it.

Sometimes I would put a dye that washes out in a couple shampoos. Then I just left it to grow out.
If you try to go platinum blond it might fall out ,but dirty blond is already almost there and you can use sun in or a streak job. I doubt it will fall out.

Well about the time I finish I will probably think of a new character. I wanted to make her an albino with pink eyes and silver white hair,but she looked so nice in red hair!

Thank you. I sculpted her very softly and genericly pretty. I wanted her to be adaptable to various looks and customizing.Will see how thats works out. Ill have to give her a gothic face paint or something harder looking.

half the fun of BJD is customizing them into a character. painting the face ,exchanging eyes and wigs is very easy. Its hard to leave em as is. But thank you

Well I had read oline testors dullcoat was just as good as Mr super clear. You have to order that from Japan and with shipping its expensive so I got the testors. Uh... it is not just as good ,but I thought it was me.
I could not get smooth pastel and the finish wasnt matte. Sweet Analise sent me her MSC because shes allergic to it. So, I tried it and what do you know it wasnt me! So now I want to try painting alot more and get the nice eyelashes and browhairs too.

where do you get your hair? dolls hair is apparently whats used for mask makeing as well. and my suppliers have very limited selection of color.

It has a great range of colors even unnatural hair colors. I dint know it was used for masks. Interesting.

yeah if its the saem stuff it would be called. ehhh "thinks" i cant its a realy logn chemical word beginning with "K" lol my supplier didnt even realy know teh name for sure. lol

Most of it is very silky and soft. I used it for Lunas hair strands as well. I dont know the chemical name. Theres another supplier that calls it katsilk.

I could have taken a better picture. Im liking the red hair against her white skin and want to get a nice wig. This is just loose hair piled there and held in place. I also want to make some new eyes for her. I think now I will be able to do faceups no problem. Just a bit more practice.
