Thank you. probably cause I am inspired by Gottfried. Though I painted skin on my figures white before I saw his work it sort of affirmed the child figures for me.

I could swear that this is more a photograph of two living beings instead of sculptures. I tell you what, the composition of these two in the photo makes for a very compelling image. It's very exciting to see your work from so many angles and representations, it's lovely.

I like to observe subtle things like the bit of blue in the corner of the eye. Im being intruiged by the idea of painting on clay like old masters did on canvas.
They are sort of my models. I go a little crazy making artful shots. That way its not just a photo of a sculpt Im selling, but can be appreciated just as a compelling image.

That's a dynamic idea. I don't think I've seen another sculptor treat any of their work like that. You do a great job with those photographs, you do.

Thank you. I am just an oddball I guess. I love taking photos when I have a good subject.
The dollfie or BJD collectors kinda do the same thing but, with a molded doll they customize.

Oddball? Na, I'd rather call you inventive. Even if you're not the only one to do it, I don't see it around. I also wouldn't put ball joint doll collectors along side your kind of work anyway. With enough time and money, anybody can collect and pose. What you do is all your own. There, I said it.

they do look real - beautiful! what clay are you using?

I use polymer clay usually whatever brands cheap at the time. These are a mix of living doll and Premo translucent. But any polymer can get this result.
