Description A quick anatomy study for a spider transformation.
Talk about WIERD anatomy! But this "sequece" (sorry about being all over the place -- this was off a sketch-book page) is how I think a spider TF would go down.

It's all about the abdomen. Abdomen abdomen abdomen. And the pelvis, which has to jump thorugh hoops to get the legs up to the thorax. Gaddarn those exoskeletons!!

I should note that I did no referencing of spiders, so I was guessing on the finer visual details. They have 8 legs, right?

Edit: Oh, yeah. . . I stole this idea from 's [link]

I remembered that fact when I realized he fav'd this. Rock on, ~Metamorpher !!

There is that Greek story of Arachne, the mortal woman who challenged Athena to a weavingΒ contest and then she ended up getting turned into a spider by Athena.

Werewolves are SO mainstream. There are so many more complex, interesting animals, I love the idea of someone turning into the animal their most like rather than an animal that society sees as popular. Spiders are often seen as symbols of evil and deciet, but they can also stand for wisdom, maternity, creativity and diligence. A very well thought out and well drawn transformation, horrific in appearance, but scratch beneath the surface and you start to think.

Maternity as in killing the husband right after sex.

I think that may have been what caused it.
So...Uh.... not the smartest idea. Remember what happened in Crysis when they tried nuking the spider things from space.

Thats what I like about this. She ISN'T terrified at the transformation.

I like to think that she wanted it to happen. Maybe she even initiated the transformation herself.

Great work!

Arachnids (spiders, scorpions) indeed have 8 legs.

And kudo for the anatomically correct bug transformation. Their abdomen are... abdomen, not some big inflated butt like a lot of people tend to transform them
