Heyo!!!

Just wanted to make a reference pic for myself on the simple way to draw Orcis and his facial features. These are just the simplest ways of doing a base for him, I try not to have perfect circles except for the nose bump x3.

So I'll just do a quick run down for others if in case people have some troubles with him. I've only had a few people draw Orcis some of which arn't on DA and I really love them, but I did get "how would I draw this part in your opinion?" so figured I should do a quick ref for my friends who want to have Orcis in their pics or what not.

Step 1: Simple circles to get a basic shape for the head as with and initial draws people should use circles as a base to work off for relative size and what not. Then draw a smaller circle for his nose. After that I place my cross lines or curves if you're drawing on an angle or what not, to define where the center is and spot for where the nose/eyes should start to line up. The second line is going across ----- is basically where the nose should be. Orcis has a bigish nose so it's like the defining feature of the face. Simple yet breaks the way the face looks if its too small.

Step 2: Once you have your nose lined up inside the head, you can start on the positioning of the eyes where the I guess you could call the "Over eyes" (i dunno what you'd call it if you got something better or cooler let me know xD). These don't actually touch the nose so try as best you can to keep the separated from the nose lines as it will help later on. If you're confident you can remember the positioning lines you can erase them to make it cleaner to work in.

Step 3: Time for the details! Okay the eyes are fairly easy if you kept your positioning lines the eyes are basically in the center of the "Over eyes". The eyes as shown below are done in 2 curves and then the small eye white to give the soul of the character (most experiments look evil without it O.O). The nostrils are fairly easy as they go near the bottom of the snout and are spaced near the edges of the circle. Next is the teeth, they are near the edges of the nose and are the biggest teeth Orcis has, but don't make em too big like goofy teeth xD. Next is the lower jaw that's a different colour now these lines connect to the nose and have a nice wide curve and it should be hunky dory! Last but not least is to finish up and erase some of the nose so it's not a full circle anymore; just erase the sides and leave the ridge on the top and the bottom of the snout, then have the sides only have small line going in to show that its higher on the body and require different shading when colouring.

The center just briefly goes over the features individually except the nose which is covered in earlier. The teeth section has the smaller teeth in case you have his mouth open as with the inside of the mouth where his uvula is. I didn't put the tongue in since its just a big blob really and the uvula part covers the small bend in the tongue.

The bottom images are just of different angles and view points. As in order of top row; Left, Looking up, Looking down, Right. In order for the bottom row these also have some facial expressions; Leftish Sad, Right Diagonal Neutral, Center Neutral, Left Diagonal Happy, Rightish Mad.
