Description
Meet Sara. Sara was basically my first attempt at a custom model that wasn't just "genesis 2" or "victoria 6" loaded in. She's also, by extension, one of the first subjects who I actually rendered. Never published, but none-the-less, rendered.I thought it would be interesting to see (and show) where I started and where I am now. I'm by no means an amazing artist around here, but I thought for people who are thinking of getting started. I've been working at this for about 2 years, and this image helps to illustrate what 2 years of work can yield.
On the left, a 3delight render with the most basic of lighting, and no background. And, at the time, I thought I was pretty awesome for getting it that far. (I still think it was impressive, at least at the time.
On the right, an iray, NGS-shaded render, with fairly capable lighting and a full setting and background. I wouldn't be at this point without the support of all of you, whether it's the people who show up and comment on my art as a form of encouragement, to the people who offer constructive and helpful criticisms, to the other artists that I may not interact with but who inspire me with their work that continues to feel just out of my reach, causing me to stretch further.
So, thank you. And I hope that in some way this helps those of you aspiring to be artists, to at least try. I'm not saying it's easy, or that it even always makes sense. But, for me, it's fun. So to the almost 1200 who watch me and helped with the over 500,000 views of my pieces of art, I want you to know I always appreciate your support - and that I do not take it for granted.

I just found this one by you.
Sara on the right totally Sizzles in that sexy, revealing dress!
I can almost feel the texture of her dress just by looking at it.
She is 100% gorgeous!
And this was one of your beginning efforts? WOW!
Her face is so pretty & mesmerizing & her long, black hair is so luscious & sexy!
I'm definitely going to fave her!

I think most people who do this started with something similar to your left image. I know I did. No background, no lights, not much of anything. I look at those now and think about how much I've improved.

I agree you have!
I also am sure that most people have started with similar things. It seems hard not to. But like any art/craft, I think it's important to show the path that we came from so others can maybe be less daunted by the task?
Maybe I'm over thinking it. *shrug*

I agree the blue is a bit strong of a color, and I do appreciate the feedback. I always welcome both positive and constructive responses. If no one tells me what I can improve, it's much harder for me to fix it
