Description A bunch of tools I wrote to mod SSF4 AE PC. Includes:
- EMGSwap(v2)
-EMOAppend
- DDSrefedit
- EMG2SMD and SMD2EMG(v2)
-skelswap
-SMDSkel2EMOSkeleton
- AOinject and AOextract

I haven't gotten to writing any tutorials for any of these yet, but they're all pretty self explanatory if you already know about the game files and formats and what theyre for.

I just have a quick question ... what does it mean when textures on parts of the model are blank ... I was put the Ryu Hayabusa Costume on my SSF4 Steam copy that I just bought and the mesh parts were not texured they were just white and the boots and I think gloves were white. When I had it on my Non Steam Copy of SSF4 it was showing up perfectly ... I have put the original files back that I backed up for the original costume and reinstalled the costume like 3 times. I went back to my non-steam copy and checked it and it was working correctly.Β

Out of curiosity, how do you modify or cleanup the textures for characters using your tools? I'm trying to work on some of the SFxT character textures since many of them really seem off and not too pleasant to the eye.

I don't have any tools for textures. You can use piecemontee's SF4 explorer to extract/inject the textures from .emb files. The images are in .DDS format so if you work with photoshop, you're gonna need a plug-in for that. It's a little complicated editing textures for SFxT because of color customization.

In SFxT, most characters' obj.emb file have 2 DDS files in them. The first one is the diffuse map with a grayscale texture in the red channel, color cluster masks in the green and blue channel, and transparency/pandora mode mask in the alpha channel. The second DDS is the normal map in the red and green channel, a sketch lines map in the blue channel (appears in char select portraits, and launch attacks), and the specular map in the alpha channel.
