Just a bit of playing around - with colors, some techniques, etc. Mostly just getting my hand warmed up again after this long trip overseas and so much time away from my tablet!Turns out my redhead is done just in time for St. Patrick's Day! May the luck o' the Irish be with you all today.

Now tell me, how do you get that sunlight effect?! It always seems beyond me to understand!

Some of it is based on the glow, which I did with a new layer, which I then filled with a medium red color and set the layer blending on "Lighten." Then I took a big round airbrush with soft edges and an orange-yellow color and brushed in those glowy areas on the right, including lightening up the lashes and such on that side. Doing this also evens out some of your darks, so you don't have anything that's pure black, either. Make sure the layer opacity is pretty low, though. Somewhere around 10-20%, depending on what you're going for.

That was also on a new layer and you can play around with colors and blending modes - I did some with overlay and some with lighten, I think?
