I looked online to see if pixar actuly gave him a name, but couldent finde anything. Insted I found a rumor going around, that his name might be Dave! X3
I found that to be Ironic and funny, so I went with that! >w<

His Real name is Captain B. McCrea. Check Wikipedia. And didn't anyone see the part of the movie where McCrea is looking at wall where there is the portraits of all the past Captains of the Axiom and the portraits give all their names, including McCrea's portrait. That's where they gave you his name.
