Hehe, normies need more love and attention.
(Normies is what I call the misc. PPG characters.)

What do you mean by "more love and attention"? I may know why, but not as concretely.Β

What I meant to say was that characters such as Mitch, Mike, Robin, ETC are painfully underrated and need more attention.Β

You know, that's right. I myself found Mike and Robin believable and relatable enough to warrant more than just a one-shot role.Β

I totally agree. They needed more appearances. The writers of the show back then created likable characters in Mike and Robin and they should have made more appearances in canon, even helping the PPGs in someway, even though they are completely normal human beings. Something of the sort like that in the show would have been very satisfying to watch. If they could pull it off right, they could have even tugged on some feels.

1. By "believable and relatable", I meant they, unlike the other more one-dimensional, cartoonish kids, were conceived as more genuine characters who felt like real kindergartners who would live next door. Mike was even voiced by a then-child actor who sounded the part perfectly.Β
2. That last part about "more appearances in canon" and "pulling it off right to tug on some feels"; would you care to expand on that, and give a few examples?Β

1. That was exactly what I was going for.
2. More appearances in canon simply meaning if they showed up in more episodes. Perhaps even have at least one episode dedicated to them. "tug on some feels" meaning done right, we could have more emotion going on as well as character development (which sadly the PPG cartoon lacked for the most part, now that I think of it.)

2. That's the idea exactly. (It's worth noting as well that Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends obviously meant to improve on that lack of emotion and character development, which worked, but not without costs of it's own.) When I said, "give a few examples", I meant specific examples of how Mike and/or Robin, if given more prominent episodes, would help the PPGs, and how well you think the writers should write those scenarios and do it right.Β
