They're original characters I whipped up for the fanfics I wrote. Having watched Batman the Animated series, I operate under the idea that if you come up with a really good villain, the story will write itself

Don't anyone fear - I don't write anything into my stories that will 'interfere' with established episode canon. Ron does step up in 'Graduation', and a lot of the events in the fanfiction will be geared towards explaining HOW he eventually develops the strength of heart he needs.
One must pass through darkness to reach the light - and the story is all about 'a friend in darkness'....
