so i tried scanning this at 600 dpi and imma see how dA handles it XD

i am still LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS FILM LIKE AHHHH MAH GASHHHH so i needed to draw this dude again <333 i decided to try my crawford and black water colour paper which i got for like... £2 and compare it with my winsor and newton..... safe to say i will always go with winsor and newton paper XD i found that the ink just did not flow on this paper and it absorbed it so quickly (even though the paper is really thin) when i tried to water down the ink on paper to get a smoother gradient, the ink had already dried and been absorbed :l i do kinda wish i did this piece on my better watercolour paper because i really like how this came out. I think the dip pens would've worked better on the winsor and newton paper too, as the ink wouldn't have been absorbed faster than it was released from the pen however im not a genius with dip pens so it might be something else~~~

My initial idea when drawing this piece was simply the colour blue... i know Kubo has this redish/brown black hair but i couldnt stop imagining him as blue. As i was colouring i got the thing where i just NEEEEDED more colour, so i added some green~~ cuz when i ink, my colour schemes go waaaay different to how my copic colouring is, i HAD to add some red to give it that difference... i was so tempted to add yellow but i had to stop myself as it wouldnt have worked.... Overall, i used 4 inks which were 2 blues (the darker one used for outlining), a red and green :333

im thinking of doing another gallery folder with just my inked work in.... im not sure tho :llll

also on my instagram i took this pic, it was a progress shot, but i REALLLLY like it ?? like i kinda like it more than the final outcome >u<
idk i just feel it gives of a really surreal feeling <3333
