Henry lost control of his flier, however his flight stopped abruptly, jolting him forward. For a moment he was confused. "What could I have possibly hit this high up?" He looked down. All around the beast was a strand of what appeared to be a sticky, pink, tape-like substance. It's limbs were beginning to stick to the odd material, and he started to panic. The others were never going to forgive him, the fliers were so hard to train, and worse yet, how was he even supposed to get down from here? His mind raced as he started to breathe heavily. All at once his nostrils filled with a strong fruit-scent. It was hard to say what fruit but it was overpowering, like he was stuck in a candle. He traced the pink cable up to its origin and what he saw astounded him. He shuddered and practically forgot to breathe. It was gum. He was stuck in ordinary bubblegum. It was stretching from the mouth of a girl; but not just any girl, mind you. A girl named Alyssa. She was Henry's girlfriend.

Or used to be. That was before everything went crazy and he found himself in what everyone liked to call "the new planet." A really extravagant way of saying his "front yard" essentially. Had it really only been a week? Not even, maybe six days? He struggled to remember when it all started. At any rate, he was shocked by her presence. He was even more shocked by her size. He figured people would be this size, but he had no idea that everyone hadn't shrunk. Odd that she of all people remained unchanged. He looked at her lips off in the distance; the warm plush pillows he used to love pressing his own against. He looked up at her eyes, glowing in the evening sunlight, then down at the chasm of cleavage below. He couldn't help but stare, it seemed now that his girlfriend wasn't human, she was a Goddess; a part of his environment.

His digressions ended quickly when his tightrope moved, shaking the flier around, and therefore him. He remembered now that he was on a piece of gum, and finally the realization arose within him what people do with gum. He could hope to gain some kind of attention from Alyssa so as to avoid being crushed, but it was just that. Hope. For all her beauty, she was not the most observant, and she definitely wasn't winning any awards for intelligence. Henry had to think of something, and he had to do it quickly. He hated to think of what might happen if he didn't.
