This was meant for a challenge over at Imagine FX but the holidays and work got the better of my time management skills. (Damn who I'm I kidding one to many Christmas parties with some fun people.) Any how another tribute to the books I loved when I was growing up. A slight version on the Pellucidar novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs and those great pulp Doc Savage stories.Related content

Why are there not more books like the Pellucidar novels and why isn't there more amazing art like this piece? It really captures the feel of the books with high adventure, danger and prehistoric monsters!

Very nice! It really gives the pulp adventure feel. You would make a great illustrator for the HEX (Hollow Earth Expedition) RPG out there right now.

Thank you It was a big departure for me, but i really wanted to do a 1930s pulp like cover with the edgar rice burroughs flavor to it

i was confused by ' my characters ' but i now remember. to be honest my interests have been pulled in different directions and after not bein able to secure a reliable penciller that matched my stylistic choice, i have abondoned the xMiSko project. i dont mind at all if you do still draw/paint what you had in mind but im so ' off-in-other-places ' artistically right now that i probably wont have the time to colour the images like i had intended. i thankyou seriously for your commitment to the project (hell, you remembered it longer then i did!) and hope i have not caused any offence by not letting you know that the project had lost all its driving force. apologies buddy. XD

thanks i really wanted to finish this one up. I like how it came out. Well I did use a photo of a model plane as reference so I'll take that as a complement. have good times for the New Year.
