Oh it is. It has such a 'feel good factor'. I just wish I could inject the feel of the place into the photo: the peace and tranquility, the feeling of hot sun on the face and the sounds of chirping cicadas! Ahh, I want to be there ... now!!

It will be the first trip to Spain since I joined DA. You just look at everything in a different way and take more care when you think it may end up on DA. I now also think about taking photos for specific groups. eg. I belong to the Amazing Arches group so I start looking for arches in everything! Sad eh?!!

It can be quite demoralising: photos that I originally thought were quite good I now see are absolute rubbish! So, you resolve to make more of an effort and then .... oh dear, there's another one for the delete button!

Easy - just look at some of my early submissions on DA: the ones that got 0 faves!! You should also see the hundreds and hundreds of photos in my photo files that are blurred, slanted, over exposed, under exposed ...... the list goes on! Depressing

Bah! That's photography....for each of my submissions, there are at least 10 that didn't make the grade for some reason or other. And you can't figure the

Aww thanks my friend - that's just what I needed: a good talking to! Was beginning to feel a tad depressed. Went to a wildfowl centre yesterday armed with camera. The weather turned foul (sorry - pun IS intended!!) and the birds were so distant that my camera was useless. The only close things were countless swallows, so fast I couldn't get one! Made me realise my limitations though and I know I'll have to leave the telephoto stuff to my husband and I'll stick to what I CAN do! I've certainly become more adventurous with editing but, maybe I could explore that avenue even more. Thanks again.
